Fleet Case Studies
These are real examples from fleets we’ve helped—names and details shared with permission—to show how on-site
service can make a practical difference.
Indianapolis Rowing Center – Trailer PM & Compliance
Problem: Specialty rowing trailers needed annual PM and inspections, but service required
hauling them several hours away to a manufacturer or dealer. Volunteers were spending entire days on the road
just to get basic maintenance done.
Fleet: 2 specialty rowing trailers, 1 enclosed trailer, 1 utility trailer, 1 pontoon trailer,
and 4 Jon-boat trailers.
What we did: We scheduled a dedicated on-site PM day at their Indianapolis location and:
- Performed PMs and safety inspections on all listed trailers.
- Handled bearings, brakes, lighting, and hardware checks.
- Documented findings and completed regulatory-style paperwork.
Time impact: Instead of 18+ hours of driving plus 3–6 hours of waiting per trip, the fleet
manager spent about 5 minutes explaining what was needed and reviewing the completed work.
Outcome: Annual PMs and inspections completed on-site, with clear documentation and less
disruption to staff and volunteers.
“StayPut fleet maintenance made our annual trailer service seamless and incredibly convenient... Fantastic and
professional service from a hardworking man with passion and drive to grow his business and support his family.”
– Chris Marr, Indianapolis Rowing Center, Fleet Manager

Owner-Operator Trailer Repairs – “Big Rigger”
Client: Billy “Big Rigger,” Owner-Operator
Service Type: On-site trailer repairs (two separate issues in one visit)
Problem: Billy had two separate issues with his trailer that threatened to take him off the road.
He wasn’t sure the second repair could even be handled on-site without a shop visit.
What we did: Austin arrived on-site, diagnosed both concerns, and completed both repairs right
there in the field — no tow truck, no shop delay, and no wasted hours waiting in a lobby.
Outcome: The trailer went back into service quickly, and Billy left with a trusted mobile mechanic
he could call the next time something goes wrong on the road.
“StayPut got me back on the road when it mattered most. I had two separate issues with my trailer, and Austin
knocked out both—quickly, professionally, and right there on-site. I honestly didn’t think the second repair was
going to be doable on the spot, but he handled it without hesitation.
If you need a solid mechanic—especially a mobile mechanic—you can’t go wrong with Austin. Great guy, great service,
and someone I’ll call again without question. Much appreciated!”
— Billy “Big Rigger,” Owner-Operator
Coolant Line Failure on a Cold, Wet Night
Client: Cory Clark, Owner-Operator
Service Type: Emergency roadside repair — blown coolant line
Problem: Cory suffered a coolant line failure on a cold, wet night and was stuck on the side of
the road, facing the risk of a tow bill and an overnight delay.
What we did: Austin responded, came out in poor weather conditions, and went above and beyond to
get the truck repaired roadside so Cory could get moving safely again.
Outcome: The truck went back into service the same night, without the cost and downtime of a tow
and shop stay. Cory now keeps StayPut as his first call whenever he is in the Indianapolis area.
“Oh man… What can I say about Austin… the man is, simply put, awesome! He truly went above and beyond to get me
back on the road when I had a coolant line blow on my truck. All on a cold wet night.
Austin, you sir, are a saint! Hands down. Austin will now be who I call if I’m ever broke down in Indianapolis
area again.”
— Cory Clark, Owner-Operator
2 A.M. Highway Breakdown for a Produce Fleet
Client: Craig Melin, Fresh Produce Logistics Manager
Service Type: Emergency mobile repair for a loaded unit at 2 a.m.
Problem: One of Craig’s drivers broke down on the highway at 2 a.m. with a time-sensitive produce
load. Getting the truck moving again was critical for both the freight and the schedule.
What we did: Austin answered the call immediately and was on his way within about 15 minutes. He
communicated clearly with dispatch, performed a thorough diagnosis on-site, and got the unit repaired so the driver
could finish the run.
Outcome: The truck went back into service quickly during off-hours without a long tow or extended
downtime. The fleet now keeps StayPut’s number on hand for future incidents.
“I found StayPut Fleet Service when one of my drivers broke down at 2 a.m. on the highway. Austin answered
immediately and was on his way within 15 minutes. His communication was excellent, his diagnostics were thorough,
and he had our truck up and running quickly.
Thank you for truly saving the day. We’ll definitely be keeping your number on hand.”
— Craig Melin, Fresh Produce Logistics Manager
Sunday Emergency Service and Safety Escort
Client: Yuriy Kurylo, Owner-Operator
Service Type: Sunday mobile repair and safety escort to a safe location
Problem: Yuriy needed mobile service on a Sunday, Austin’s day off. Other companies were quoting
four-hour ETAs at high hourly rates while he was concerned about both safety and cost.
What we did: Austin came out on his day off, arrived in well under an hour, charged a fair mobile
rate, and even followed Yuriy’s truck to a safer spot before performing the repair. He treated the truck like it
was his own and made sure the driver was safe at every step.
Outcome: Faster response, fair pricing, and a safer outcome than the alternatives. Yuriy now sees
StayPut as his go-to mobile repair provider in Indiana.
“Hands down the best service in the area. Austin didn’t just show up—he went above and beyond. I asked him to
follow my truck until I reached a safe place, and he did it without hesitation and without asking for a dime.
I’ve never worked with a better mechanic in Indiana. I needed mobile service on a Sunday—his day off—and while
every other company quoted a 4-hour ETA at $200/hr, Austin arrived in 45 minutes and charged a fair $125/hr. He
worked like it was his own truck and made sure I was safe every step of the way.
You won’t find a better truck repair company in Indiana.”
— Yuriy Kurylo, Owner-Operator
