Car Care Summit – Powered by StayPut Fleet Service

Car Care Summit is a church-based outreach where skilled technicians, volunteers, and local churches come together to bless families with free car care, safety checks, and basic repair help in Jesus’ name.

God gave us the skills, tools, and time to repair vehicles. Car Care Summit is our way to give those gifts back – serving families who rely on their vehicles for work, school, and everyday life but don’t always have the budget for needed repairs.

What Happens at a Car Care Summit?

Each summit is hosted on a church property and run in partnership with StayPut Fleet Service and volunteers. The day can be customized, but a typical event includes:

  • Youth training stations – tire changes, oil changes, tool basics, and safety topics.
  • Free labor on critical repairs for families in need – brakes, lights, steering, suspension, driveline work, oil leaks, and tune-ups as parts and time allow.
  • Safety inspections to identify issues that could leave someone stranded or unsafe on the road.
  • Prayer and encouragement for everyone who comes through – volunteers and guests.

Who Is This For?

Car Care Summit is designed for anyone in genuine need of help keeping their vehicle safe and reliable – single parents, families working through a tough season, senior adults, and anyone the hosting church identifies as needing support.

We work with each church to set clear guidelines so the help is targeted, organized, and stewarded well.

Partner Churches & Rotation

Our goal is to partner with multiple churches and rotate Car Care Summits throughout the year. Each month or quarter, a different church can host – reaching its neighborhood while volunteers from previous events continue to serve and train others.

StayPut Fleet Service provides the mechanical leadership, planning template, and safety structure so each church doesn’t have to start from scratch.

Volunteer Roles Needed

You don’t have to be a mechanic to serve. A Car Care Summit relies on a mix of skilled technicians and everyday volunteers. Common roles include:

  • Registration & hospitality: greeting families, checking them in, and helping them understand the process.
  • Promotion & outreach: sharing info on social media, in the community, and within the church.
  • Event coordination: parking flow, safety zones, kid areas, and keeping the day on schedule.
  • Prayer & care team: praying with people, listening to their stories, and offering encouragement.
  • Tech support crew: helping under vehicles, fetching tools, and supporting the lead technicians.

Why We Do It

We believe every skill is a gift from God. If He didn’t provide the knowledge, tools, and time, we wouldn’t be able to do this work. Car Care Summit is our way to steward those resources – turning wrenches into ministry and downtime into connection.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” – Colossians 3:23

Want to Host a Car Care Summit at Your Church?

If your church is interested in partnering on a future Car Care Summit, we’ll walk with you step-by-step:

  • Planning the event layout, safety zones, and vehicle flow.
  • Setting up registration and pre-screening for repair needs.
  • Creating volunteer roles and training materials.
  • Coordinating parts, tools, and lift/jack requirements.

This page is the starting point. Over time we’ll continue to add downloadable checklists, sign-up forms, and planning tools so churches can run a full summit using simple, shareable resources.
